Our Place

Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Who we are

Our Place is developed and maintained by Grigory Lebedev, Cotheniusstr. 20, 10407 Berlin, Germany, who is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we store

Account data: your email address, one-time sign-in codes (valid for a short time only), your display name and app language.

Content of your shared space: tasks, projects, calendar events, important dates, budget, expenses and regular payments, shopping lists, places, date ideas, recipes, movies, wishlist items and any notes you add.

Technical data: when the app talks to our servers, the hosting provider processes your IP address and request logs for security and to keep the service running. A sign-in token is stored on your phone so you stay signed in. If you turn on notifications, a push token for your phone is stored as well. If you buy Premium, we store your subscription status (plan and end date); we never see your payment details.

3. What we do not do

No advertising, no tracking across apps, no analytics SDKs, no selling or renting of your data.

4. Why and on what legal basis

We process your data to provide the app to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract). Security logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in a secure, stable service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Your partner sees your shared space

Our Place is built for two people. Everything you add to your shared space is visible to, and can be edited by, the partner who joined your space. Your partner also sees your display name. Your email address is not shown to your partner.

6. Service providers

Supabase Inc. hosts our database and sign-in. Your data is stored on servers in Frankfurt (EU). Supabase is a US company; where data may be accessed from outside the EU, this is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and a data processing agreement.

Resend, Inc. sends the sign-in codes to your email address, from servers in Ireland (EU). It processes only your email address and the message, under a data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Expo (650 Industries, Inc., USA) delivers push notifications if you turn them on. It receives the push token of your phone and the text of the notification (your partner’s name and the title of the task or event) and passes them to Apple or Google for delivery.

RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) handles Premium purchases. It receives your user ID in the app (a random identifier) and the purchase receipts from Apple or Google, under a data processing agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Apple and Google distribute the app through their stores under their own privacy policies.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your data as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account; your account and profile are removed immediately. Content in your shared space stays available to your partner; if you were the last member, the whole space and all its content are deleted. Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 7 days.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can export all data of your space yourself in Settings → Export my data. For anything else, contact us at the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

9. Children

Our Place is not intended for people under 16.

10. Changes

We will update this policy when the app changes, for example when new features or providers are added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
